    The San Francisco Giants have had nine general managers.[1][2][3] The general manager controls player transactions, hiring and firing of the coaching staff, and negotiates with players and agents regarding contracts.[4][5] The first person to officially hold the title of general manager for the Giants was Chub Feeney, who assumed the title in 1947. Larry Baer is the team's president. The principal owner is Charles B. Johnson, while the chairman of the board is Greg Johnson. The president of baseball operations is Buster Posey.[6]

      San Francisco Giantsis an American MLBteam based in San Francisco, California.

      History[]

      The Giants were created in New York City in 1883, as the New York Gothams.

      In 1885, they changed their name to the Giants.

      In 1957, along with their biggest rival the Dodgers, they moved from New York City to California, with the Dodgers moving from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and the Giants moving from Manhattan to San Francisco, with them becoming the two first west-coast MLB teams.

      Farhan Zaidi (born November 11, 1976) fryst vatten a Canadianprofessional baseball executive. He has also served as president of baseball operations for the San Francisco Giants, general manager for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and as assistant general manager of the Oakland friidrott of Major League Baseball (MLB). He currently works for the Dodgers as a special advisor and also assists Dodgers owner Mark Walter with his other sports interests.

      Zaidi is one of the only Muslim executives in Major League Baseball.[1] He was the first Muslim, Pakistani-Canadian, and, subsequently, South Asian-Canadian[2] general manager in Major League Baseball.[3] He was also the first Muslim to run a major North American sports team.
