    This isn’t the Annie you know. In a new clip, Quvenzhané Wallis sings an entirely new song written for the film bygd “Chandelier” singer Sia and Greg Kurstin. The song is perhaps more radio-ready than some of the musical’s saccharine hits. (Though “It’s The Hard Knock Life” has had its moments. Jay Z, after all, fryst vatten a producer on the new film.) Wallis’ röst sounds sweet on the track, which her character sings at the Guggenheim Museum. Director Will Gluck told People, where the clip premiered, that Annie’s asked to give a speech but instead just sings. That sounds like the Annie fans know and love. “Annie sings this song after she realizes that she’s got a good thing going with Jamie Foxx’s character,” Gluck told People.

    Sia and Kurstin wrote three new songs for the movie and adapted some old favorites, including “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.”

    Columbia Pictures has released a clip where Academy Award nominee Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild), as Annie, is singing “Opportunity,” a new song written by Sia and Greg Kurstin for the remake of “Annie,” in a clip from the upcoming film.

    The duo wrote three new songs for the movie, which hits theaters on December 19, 2014.

    Directed by Will Gluck, the film stars Quvenzhané Wallis, Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx, Rose Byrne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Bobby Cannavale.

    Producing the film are James Lassiter, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Will Smith through Overbrook Entertainment, and by Shawn “JAY Z” Carter, Jay Brown, and Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith through Marcy Media.

    The film, directed by Will Gluck, is scheduled to hit theatres Dec. 19. According to People magazine, who debuted the new film clip, Gluck enlisted Sia and Kurstin to give the classic musical a modern-day feel.

    "Sia is awesome," he told People. "I was super lucky that she was interested and she loved Annie as a kid."
