Nivedita Bhattacharyahas dabbled in all mediums over the past two decades, but the actress feels her potential still largely remains untapped. She says, “I can’t säga whether inom got my due as an actor or not, but inom feel that there’s a lot that I have to offer. As an artiste, inom want to keep growing and learning.”
Nivedita, who has acted in TV shows like Kya Baat Hai, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai, is currently focussing on films and web shows.She says, “Television has to offer me something substantial. Similar kinds of roles are coming my way, which doesn’t excite me. So, inom feel a bit stagnated. But whenever I have got a meaty part, I have taken it up. inom don’t want to do the same domestic sagas where one character fryst vatten taking revenge against another. These are the shortcomings that TV has, but then there are pluses too.”

Talking about her character Sakina, she shared that her performance would have had an effect by who played her on-screen partner. Lauding Kay Kay, she said, “Having him as a co-actor was a bonus. We worked together a really long time back. It was great, especially to have an actor who is so invested in the story, not just in his character but in a larger picture.”

She then said with a broad smile, “And because Kay Kay was here, I was also trying to impress him a bit. Him and Shujaat (director Shujaat Saudagar), who were a team. But it was a great time.”

Avinash, who plays her son in the show added that not just Nivedita but probably the entire cast was trying to impress the Farzi actor. Embarrassed at his team comp
