Later, she switched to foreign policy issues and became the Senior Director and Spokesman for the National Security Council – where she traveled to Arms Control Talks with the Soviets, Summit meetings with various heads of state, and also was sent to several countries in the Far East and South America to give speeches on behalf of the President’s priorities. When she left to accept a position in the private sector, she was the highest ranking woman on the White House staff.

      Now, she is writing novels – “political thrillers” inspired by her experiences serving in the White House. Her first novel is titled Checkmate and features characters and scenes inside
