    Maria Christina "Christy" Panis Poisot’s parents came to Houston in 1971-1972 following the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. After growing up in Missouri City and Sugar Land, Christy Poisot graduated in 1991 and went on to the University of Houston in pursuit of a graphic design degree and graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration in Computer Information Systems at the University of Houston-Downtown. She later acquired a Masters in Finance at the University of St. Thomas and an Associates in Multimedia and Web Design from the Art Institute of Houston.
