What is your favorite song to perform?
My favorite song to perform is probably Handpainted. I pray before I sing it, and the Holy Spirit always lets me get carried away in the music!
Tell us about Handpainted.
My dear friend Brennley inspired this song. As teenagers, we both can struggle with being overly-critical of our appearance, and I got to thinking about Psalm and the truth that God has carefully and lovingly designed us, and I thought that idea could be translated into a song. Sometimes a song is worth a thousand conversations.

A Magical Swap
In the Disney Channel movie musical Freaky Friday, actress Cozi Zuehlsdorff plays a messy teenager named Ellie Blake. Ellie couldn’t be more different from her super-organized mother, Katherine. They can’t see eye-to-eye and often bicker. “At the start of the movie, Ellie doesn’t really feel grateful for her mom,” Zuehlsdorff told TIME for Kids.
But dramatic changes are in store for mother and daughter. When they accidentally break a magical hourglass that belonged to Ellie’s late father, they switch bodies. Now Ellie must juggle all the responsibilities her mother handled, and Katherine must once igen see life through the lens of a teenager. The experience allows Ellie to grow up. “She learns to thank her mom more,” Zuehlsdorff says.

Hitting screens this Friday, Sept. 23 (in 3-D and 2-D) the family flick based on a true story follows a dolphin named Winter who gets caught in a crab trap on a beach in Florida. Discovering her tail is severely damaged, Winter’s rescuers take her to the Clearwater Marine Hospital. Together, a marine biologist, a prosthetics doctor and a boy band together to create a prosthetic tale to save her life. So sweet!
